This project is an addition to an existing estate home in the district of Tuscany in northwest Calgary, Alberta. The design includes a timberframe structure over a raised stamped concrete deck, and also a lower level patio. The outdoor room is complete with built-in BBQ, informal sitting areas, and an outdoor fireplace. The design takes advantage of the great views towards the Rocky Mountains to the west and to the downtown city skyline to the southeast.
